Rural Housing Association is proud to announce that we are now a JAM Card Friendly Organisation, reinforcing our commitment to creating an inclusive, accessible, and welcoming environment for everyone who uses our services.
The JAM Card (Just A Minute) is a simple and effective initiative that enables people with a learning difficulty, autism, acquired brain injury, dementia, or communication barrier to discreetly let others know that they may need a little extra time, patience, or understanding.
By becoming JAM Card Friendly, Rural Housing Association staff have completed awareness training to help them better understand and support individuals who may face communication challenges. This training enables our team to respond with greater confidence, empathy, and sensitivity, helping to ensure that everyone receives the support they need when engaging with our services.

At Rural Housing Association, we are committed to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion in all aspects of our work. Becoming a JAM Card Friendly Organisation is an important step in ensuring that our services are accessible to all and that every individual is treated with dignity, respect, and understanding.
We recognise that small changes can make a significant difference to people’s experiences. By supporting the JAM Card initiative, we are helping to create a more inclusive environment where people feel comfortable accessing services and communicating their needs.
This commitment reflects our wider efforts to remove barriers, promote accessibility, and ensure that all service users can engage with us confidently and independently.
