Rural Housing Association Launches New Tenant Participation Action Plan

Rural Housing Association is delighted to launch our new Tenant Participation Action Plan, a key document that will guide tenant engagement and involvement across the organisation.

Developed in partnership with our Tenant Panels, the Action Plan sets out a clear roadmap for how Rural Housing will continue to work with tenants to shape services, influence decision-making, and strengthen communities. The plan reflects our commitment to ensuring that tenant voices remain at the heart of everything we do.

By working closely with tenants throughout the development process, the Action Plan identifies priorities for engagement and outlines opportunities for tenants to become more actively involved in shaping the future of the Association. It builds on our belief that meaningful participation leads to better services, stronger relationships, and more vibrant communities.

As part of the project, tenants also had the opportunity to showcase their creativity by designing a beautiful mug inspired by the themes and values of the Action Plan.

Rural Housing Association would like to extend a sincere thank you to Siobhan O’Neill from Engagement Specialist Ireland for her support and expertise throughout the process. Siobhan worked closely with our tenants, helping to facilitate discussions, gather feedback, and ensure that the final Action Plan truly reflects the views and aspirations of our residents.

Stephen Fisher, Chief Executive of Rural Housing Association, said:

“Our tenants are at the centre of everything we do, and this new Tenant Participation Action Plan demonstrates our commitment to listening, learning, and working together. We are grateful to our Tenant Panels for their valuable input and to Siobhan O’Neill for helping us create a plan that will strengthen tenant engagement across the organisation.”

The launch of the Tenant Participation Action Plan marks another important step in Rural Housing Association’s commitment to empowering tenants and ensuring they have meaningful opportunities to influence the services and communities that matter most to them.
