Neville Armstrong Completes Term as RHA Chair

Rural Housing Association’s Chair Neville Armstrong has stepped down following the completion of six years in the position of Chair.  His replacement has been named as board member Ciaran McKenna, who will now take on the role of chairing the Association’s Board of Management.

Despite stepping down from his role as Chair, Neville will remain a board member, continuing to steer the work of the Association going forward.

RHA’s Chief Executive, Stephen Fisher said: “I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to Neville for all that he has done for the Association during his time as Chair.”

“During these most recent challenging times brought about by the emergence of the pandemic, Neville’s guidance and support has made an enormous difference to the Association, ensuring we were able to continue to deliver a high-quality service for our tenants.”

“Throughout his six years as Chair, Neville’s leadership and knowledge has helped us realise our vision of increasing the supply of much-needed social housing in rural locations.  Neville’s passion and commitment to supporting rural communities to thrive has proved instrumental in ensuring Rural Housing Association remains a leader in social housing provision across rural communities in Northern Ireland.”

Commenting on his term as Chair, Neville said “Six years as Chair! Enjoyed every meeting!”
