Following a successful Rural Needs Test in Clabby, delivered in partnership with the Housing Executive’s Rural Unit, Rural Housing Association received approval to develop eight new homes in the village. The delivery of these homes highlights the often hidden need for social housing in smaller rural communities. This project is an example of the vital role that proactive, partnership-led approaches play in uncovering and addressing hidden housing need across our rural areas.
By listening to the community and working collaboratively to assess local demand, we’ve been able to support residents to remain in their communities, and enhance the long-term sustainability of Clabby.
