Rural Housing Shortlisted for Most Inspiring Community Project

Rural Housing Association’s ‘Housing for All’ initiative funded through the Department for Communities and the Housing Executive has been shortlisted for “Most Inspiring Community Project” at this year’s Inspire Awards 2021.

The Inspire Awards celebrate diversity and inclusion in UK construction, engineering & housing with the aim of inspiring a more diverse and inclusive culture in the industry by celebrating those who are leading the way.

This year’s awards with be showcasing projects that are inspiring examples to others in the industry: Both building projects that have are a truly inclusive design and embrace the additional needs of their inhabitants/ users and initiatives that have brought diverse communities together through smart inclusion.

Our “Housing for All” initiative has been named as a finalist in “The Most Inspiring Community Project” category for our work in promoting diversity and inclusion within the village of Sion Mills.  As a Housing for All shared neighbourhood, our Old Mill Court scheme in Sion Mills focuses on the delivery of a five year good relations plan for the area aimed at building more integrated and inclusive communities within Sion Mills and surrounding rural areas.

The virtual award ceremony will take place on the 8th July, where we will be joined by finalists from across the UK.
