Rural Housing Association Appoints New Chair

Rural Housing Association’s Chair Ciaran McKenna has stepped down following the completion of his term as Chair of the Association.  His replacement has been named as board member John Waddell, who will now take on the role of chairing the Association’s Board of Management.

Rural Housing Association’s latest Chair John Waddell, who is a long standing Board Member, brings extensive knowledge and experience of local rural community development, and is also Chair of Rural Community Network since 2019.  John is a founding member of Poyntzpass Community Regeneration Company Ltd. and currently holds the position of secretary and has been an active member of projects which have led to the regeneration of the village. John has a keen interest in the social and economic regeneration of rural areas through the development of social enterprise at a local and regional level; and in building positive community relations.
