What is a Stock Condition Survey

Rural Housing Association have appointed Consultants to carry out stock condition surveys of all our properties. A stock condition survey looks at all parts of a building to assess the condition and state of repair and allows the Association to plan for immediate and long term works.
 
Typical items that will be looked at as part of the survey include roofs, rainwater goods, general structure (internal and external), windows, doors, kitchens, sanitary ware, heating system, electrics, flooring, fencing, walls, paths etc.
 

Why are we doing stock condition surveys?

This is an ongoing process since 2010 and will be complete within 2014. The information that we collect regarding the condition of our properties will allow us to budget more effectively and so that your home is maintained to the highest possible standard.
 

How will this affect me?

When the survey is undertaken at your property access will be required to all rooms including the roof space and outside areas. Our Consultants will contact you in advance to make suitable access arrangements.
